Chantel Jordan named Assistant Director of Athletics at MassBay

Chantel Jordan has been appointed as the Assistant Director of Athletics at MassBay Community College.

Jordan, a distinguished alumna of Brockton High School, earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Boston and her MBA from Cambridge College. During her time at Brockton High, she excelled in basketball, earning the Enterprise All-Scholastic award. Her passion for the game continued into her collegiate years, playing at UMass-Boston where she further developed her skills and leadership abilities.

Chantel has served as the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity Basketball team at The Rivers School for two years, where she led and developed young student-athletes. In addition to her coaching experience, she worked as a teacher, Student Support Liaison, and DEI Affinity Leader, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. She is also the founder of Champ City, a basketball skills development program dedicated to training athletes at all levels. Through Champ City, she has coached and trained Professional and Semi-Professional players, as well as Men’s and Women’s Collegiate athletes from Division I to Division III. Chantel has also made a significant impact on high school players and programs across the Metro Boston area.

As the Assistant Director of Athletics at MassBay, Chantel is focused on supporting the athletic department's operations and fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment for student-athletes. She is dedicated to enhancing student-athlete development, managing athletic programs, and ensuring the success of initiatives that promote both academic and athletic excellence.

With her background in coaching and leadership, Chantel brings a holistic approach to student-athlete development, focusing on physical, mental, and leadership growth. She is committed to helping student-athletes excel in sports while preparing them for challenges beyond the game.

Chantel is excited to contribute to the ongoing success of MassBay Community College's athletic programs and looks forward to empowering student-athletes to reach their full potential.
