Bucs down CCRI 90-86 in Home Opener

The MassBay men's basketball team defeated Community College of Rhode Island 90-86 in their home opener on Thursday night. This was the first win of the season for the Bucs as they move to 1-1 on the season.

The young Bucs jumped out to an early 26-10 lead, but CCRI narrowed the gap to 11 by the half. The second half saw MassBay start to pull away, leading by as many as 17 with just under seven minutes to play. The Knights came roaring back, getting within two before Crisrael Lithgow knocked down 2 free throws with 5.1 seconds left to seal the win.

MassBay was led by first year players Mason Lawson (25 points), Antonio Taylor (21 points), and Omar Quilter (20 points).
