MEN'S BASKETBALL: DeJesus earns All-Region Honors

MassBay first-year guard Joshua DeJesus has been named to the 2023-24 Region 21 All-Region Second Team.

In his first campaign for the Bucs, DeJesus led the team in scoring at 19.4 points per game, which was also good for the fifth higest average in the Region and 21st in the country. DeJesus eclipsed the 30 point mark three times this season, with his career high coming on November 30th when he went for 40 vs UConn Avery Point.

One of the most memorable moments of the season for DeJesus came at Roxbury CC on December 12th. DeJesus went to the line with the Bucs trailing by one with 2.3 seconds remaining in the game, and calmly sank both free throws to secure an important Region 21 win on the road for the Bucs.

On the season, DeJesus also led the team with 157 made field goals, 42 made 3's, and 70 made free throws. His 76.9 percentage from the FT line ranked him at #6 in Region 21.
