The MassBay Golf Team will hold a meeting for all interested players on Friday March 24th at 3:30pm. The meeting will take place in the Recreation & Wellness Center on the Wellesley campus.
The Buccaneers, led by fourth-year head coach David Rixham, have had tremendous success over the last few seasons at both the regional and national levels.
In 2017, MassBay's Nick Barber finished 4th in the region, and qualified for the National Championship where he finished 30th. Barber impooved on that the next year by winning the 2018 Region 21 Championship, and once again heading to Chataqua, NY for the National Tournament. Barber's 4-day score was five strokes better than the prevous year, as he finished with a 327.
Also, in 2018, teammate Mike Badiani captured fifth place in the region, and joined Barber at the National Tournament.
In 2019, MassBay's Dylan Quaratiello finished 5th in the Region, and followed in the footsteps of the golfers before him, and represented MassBay at the National Tournament in Chataqua, where he placed 35th.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MassBay did not field a team over the past few years, but the Bucs are looking to come back strong this season.
