Henry Lopez named Head Esports Coach at MassBay

Henry Lopez has officially been named as the new Head Esports Coach at MassBay Community College. 

As a first generation Peruvian American, Coach Lopez brings a diverse background to MassBay eSports.

Lopez is a 2003 MassBay alum and also holds a bachelor’s in Economics with a minor in Latin American studies from UMass Boston (2007). Additionally, Lopez earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Bunker Hill Community College (2015). 

Coach Lopez' attention now turns to the growing eSports program within MassBay. Leveraging his experience as an IT Professional, coupled with his role as an Ambassador for the Boston Red Sox, Henry has seen the amount of detail it takes for any competitive enterprise to succeed.His primary goal will be to build strong competitive teams, but also continue to foster community growth. 

Personal gaming favorites include: Fortnite, NBA2K, Madden, FIFA, CoD and Mario Kart.
